Make sure you can afford your children

first_imgI’m writing in reaction to a portion of the Dec. 3  article, “Minimum wage, maximum stress.” I have to admit that I was more than a little riled when I read the segment telling the story of 28-year-old Christopher Gordon. Nine children? Really? Interesting, how so many of us have to decide how big of a family that we can realistically support. It seems that Mr. Gordon gave no thought to this as he partook in creating these nine children. I wonder how many of his children are in need of public assistance because neither he nor his partner took into consideration the consequences of their actions. I certainly can understand and be compassionate of the circumstances that affect the other individuals interviewed for the article. I think The Gazette did a disservice to the other interviewees by adding Mr. Gordon to the mix. Jill MiglinBurnt HillsMore from The Daily Gazette:EDITORIAL: Find a way to get family members into nursing homesEDITORIAL: Beware of voter intimidationFoss: Should main downtown branch of the Schenectady County Public Library reopen?EDITORIAL: Thruway tax unfair to working motoristsEDITORIAL: Urgent: Today is the last day to complete the census Categories: Letters to the Editor, Opinionlast_img
